Google Going After Angieslist?

According to BuzzFeed  Google is working on a new product which will help connect Google users to local home-service professionals such as electricians, roofers and plumbers. I suppose Google has recognized that as it sits right now easily targeting your local market and designing the perfect Adwords advertisement to provide your contact info and the perfect description isn’t exactly the forte of the average landscaper and something easier needed to be created.

Currently, Google searches for things like plumbers and electricians return links to service providers along with associated AdWord advertisements. Sources said the new product would go beyond this presentation format to actually connect search users with service providers, though it’s not yet clear how communication between the two parties occur. Google declined to comment for this story.

Now Google hasn’t bothered to make any comment regarding this yet – so we’ll have to wait and see what, if anything, actually happens.
