Google, Will Showing Recent Posts On My Homepage Cause A Duplicate Content Issue?

Google tweeted today about a new video/question they made live on their Youtube account. Will showing recent posts on my homepage cause a duplicate content issue? In short the answer is no, provided you do it correctly. Displaying the full blog post on your websites homepage AND on your blog may result in duplicate content. Google recommends that you display only the headline, or a short excerpt for the actual post and then provide a link to the full post.
