The assumption I made a few days back in my Facebook Beacon update video regarding the nearing launch of the Facebook Beacons has been confirmed as Facebook rolls out a dedicated page allowing page admins to see if any of their business pages are eligible for a Beacon right away, or request a Facebook Bluetooth Beacon for their business. Furthermore the initial concept of the beacons running $5 each seems to have been discarded as the new sign-up page explicitly calls it a “free beacon“.

Like I said in the above video – I encourage everyone to sign-up. There’s a chance to turn this into a great marketing tool and we should all try our part to make that happen. Think outside the box.
