Google has announced the launch of a Buy It Now button for mobile shoppers in an effort to help improve the shopping and comparing process for users. Clicking on a Buy It Now listing will bring the shopper to a retailer-branded page provided by Google where they can easily and securely complete their checkout process using the payment credentials associated with the shoppers Google Account.
As it stands right now Google is running this in a very limited trial and new merchants are requested by Google to join – not vice-versa. Once this is available for all merchants I’ll be sure to make an updated post.
