A recent post over in the Google My Business Help Forum confirmed something we’ve long believed: clicks on you’re listing help boost your listings ranking.
Search history: The number of times it has been useful historically on the basis of relevance, prominence and distance.
Which basically means how many times someone has searched for a specific keyword, seen your listing, and clicked on it. Now a few things to take note of here. First off this applies only to the local algorithm for your local business listings – not the organic algorithm working across Google Search. Secondly – getting you’re friends to search for your business and click on it’s link isn’t going to work in the long run. Google will catch on, and you’ll likely suffer a ranking penalty rather than a boost.
Regardless, it’s always good to have Google confirm things.
