Earlier on last week I had told you about the recent changes made to the Google +1 button and the launch of the new asynchronous button snippet. Thomas over at Web2.0Hub has taken the new ‘async’ snippet and minified it to make it even smaller. Not sure what that means? Essentially minification is the practice of removing unnecessary characters from code to reduce its size, thus improving load times; so Thomas has successfully taken Google’s attempt to speed up their button – and sped it up even more. You can get the new minified code for the ‘async’ snippet here: http://web20hub.wordpress.com/2011/08/02/google-plus-one-async-code-minified-javascript/
