Google has been the default search engine on a wide array of browsers for quiet a while – and surely this helped Google hold the number 1 spot in search engine popularity for quiet a while. However with the recent change by Mozilla to use the Yahoo search engine as the new default search tool for the Firefox browser – Yahoo is seeing its popularity increasing.

According to a recent study by StatCounter, Yahoo usage within the U.S. By Firefox 34 users on December 2nd was a whopping 29.4% – a whopping increase from the 9.64% it used to be with the Google-supported Firefox 33. That means that thanks to Mozilla, Yahoo’s use popularity jumped up by 19.8%!
