So Twitter tweets are now showing in real-time on Google mobile searches – and this got me to thinking. Is this now the easiest way to rank #1 on Google? I mean just think about it – let’s say that you make a post about Windows 10 – and you tweet about this post when Windows 10 is trending. Then someone who wants to check out what’s new with Windows 10 runs a search on their phone, while their riding the train to work in the morning – and there’s your post. On top. Before anyone else. It’s exactly what the searcher wanted – and as such they click and read your post. Success!
Now of-course you’re #1 spot isn’t set in stone here; and as someone else makes a tweet featuring the same keyword you’re position will decrease. However that should just encourage you to produce more fresh content, and be more active on social media. I’ve always been an advocate of outside-the-box marketing methods – and as times change so should all marketing – and Google is trying to make business owners realize that with changes such as the integration of real-time tweets into Google’s search results.
Right now real-time tweets only show for mobile users; however Google has confirmed that desktop users will be getting a similar experience – which means that you’re #1 spot is now view-able to a pretty large audience.
