[frame align=”left”][/frame]Keeping a backup of your website is something I have always made an important point on here. In fact I made sure to let everyone know about World Backup Day; and wrote an article discussing the important of maintaining your own backup files. For anyone that has used, or is using GoDaddy’s Website Builder – you’ll be happy to know that with the update to v7 the GoDaddy Website Builder now has full support for creating back ups and restoring them.
Now keep in mind that GoDaddy automatically backs up your Website Builder Version 7 site when you publish your site, start over, or switch themes. Once they have automatically backed up your site five times, they start to delete the oldest backups, and then proceed to replace them with new backups of your site. However you can also manually create up to five backup copies of your website, and restore your website from a previous backup copy. Back up and restores are accessible from the Site Info menu on the Control Panel, or in the Page Designer’s Site Settings. You can read a detailed guide on how to create a backup of your GWB7 website, and how to restore a backup, here.
