I know I don’t mention our hosting service here a lot. It’s utilized mostly among my web development clients, and a few other clients that have came along over the years. I take a real personal approach – my hosting clients have direct access to my 365x24x7 support, along with support directly from me. We never really pushed the service much, however over the next few months we’ll be making a lot of various upgrades and changes to the service – and pushing it more and more to the public.
As of today, .UK domain names can be registered for free upon signing up for a new web hosting account. The.CO.UK, .ORG.UK and .ME.UK TLDs are the next addition to the .UK domain extension, which we also offer for free with a hosting plan. The other TLDs available for free are .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO, .BIZ, .US, .RU, .DE and .EU.
There are other changes regarding .UK domain names – for starters they can now be registered for just one year. Until now, the minimum registration period has been 2 years. Moving on the annual price for .UK domains will be the same as the annual price for the other free TLDs on the offer. The price for a 2-year domain registration will remain the same; and the domain transfer for .UK domain names will no longer require Auth-Codes – making the process much smoother and quicker.
