The MPAA is responsible for overlooking most things Hollywood – such as anti-piracy efforts, trade, and the overall improvement of Hollywood’s image. That said I’m sure we all know how much the MPAA hates piracy. Since 1975 the MPAA has continued to pursue a number of initiatives to combat illegal distribution of Hollywood films, especially in response to new technologies. In their continued effort to combat piracy the MPAA has launched a new website geared towards finding you legal methods to watch your favorite movies and TV shows online.

The new site is called WhereToWatch and lets you search for a certain TV show or movie and find a location where you can legally stream it, rent it, or buy it. You’ll also get some information about getting it on DVD or Blu-Ray, as well as information about whether the movie is still playing in theaters, even providing nearby showtimes.

The list of films and TV shows seems to be pretty extensive – alas international movies aren’t featured yet. Further more some of my own favorites, such as Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels is sadly not listed (yet?).
