People have always had a love/hate relationship with PayPal – and this latest set of news is sure to stir things up again. PayPal has updated their website to let users know of a new agreement which opens up the door for users to receive “autodialed or prerecorded calls and text messages” – which essentially means telemarketing calls are coming.

The new update takes effect July 1, 2015 – at which point you should expect to start getting some calls from PayPal – even on numbers that aren’t listed in your PayPal account as PayPal states it has the right to contact you on numbers they have “otherwise obtained”.

PayPal states that the new terms arer to allow the company to tell you about account activity and/or to resolve disputes; however the full terms also give PayPal the right to send you surveys, questionnaires, offers, and promotions.
