It’s been a rather confusing time for those of you following the Twitpic heartline awaiting news of its new acquisition or closure. Unfortunately it turn out the acquisition didn’t happen – and as such Twitpic is in-fact closing. And it’s closing fast. In-fact the final day for Twitpic is October 25th, 2014 – 9 days away. Company founder Noah Everett used the Twitpic blog to break the news, explaining that the photos and video sharing service will shut up shop in a week’s time.

If you’ve been using Twitpic in the past – now is the crunch time to go start downloading all of your data before its gone. You can download your data right from your account page: http://twitpic.com/account/settings
