I had mentioned the new .NYC gTLD on here before; and apart from that I have read articles in numerous newspapers and plenty of online sources advertising the new domain name extension for New York City. That being said I am pretty upset that during the landrush period for the .nyc domain which lasted an entire 60 days NYC residents managed to register a bit over 3,000 domains only.
In comparison .LONDON recently launched, receiving nearly 35,000 registrations in its first day of general availability. .NYC and .LONDON are among 38 cities to have their own new TLD, including Berlin, Moscow and Tokyo.
So fellow New Yorkers – step your game up! Pick up your own personal .NYC domain name at either Namecheap, SiteGround, 1&1 or GoDaddy.
