Easter is this Sunday, April 20th, and in celebrating SiteGround has announed their Easter Sale starting this Saturday April 19. The sale will last through Monday April 21st and will offer a huge 70% off discount on SiteGround’s hosting packages.

70% off is starting to seem like a favorite of SiteGround as they’ve used the same discount for their Black Friday Sale, the following CyberMonday sale; and then their Birthday Sale; oh and let’s not forget the Christmas sale. I’m not complaining really – I mean who would be with such awesome savings – but I do urge you to do all your research before simply getting excited about the money you could potentially save.

I’ve always praised SiteGround on here as I believe they offer an astounding service for an amazing price – but as with most things you can’t be absolutely great at everything all at once. While I personally haven’t found something SiteGround has performed poorly during – Stephen Galgocy (a fellow member of the G+ WordPress community) unfortunately has. Unfortunately if for any reason you end up needing to cancel your SiteGround service – have a bottle of Advil standing by for your headache will be immense. He’s done a great job at documenting his process on his blog – complete with chat screenshots and time mentions; and if you read through it all you’ll get to a great list of links at the very bottom that shows he’s far from the only one who’s had to go through this hassle. To date the only response from SiteGround has been the following tweet:

Now I can understand that there should be a general retention process that happens with any cancellation request; at any company; offering any service. However there has to be a limit – and this seems to be something SiteGround still has yet to master.
