Among all of the other recent changes happening here at Rapid Purple, I am doing my best to continue to grow the free webmaster resources directory on here. First off, the Books section now features a screenshot of the listed book – to make browsing a bit easier. Now following the mention of the Microsoft SEO Toolkit earlier on – I have went ahead and added a Software > SEO section to the directory – and then spent some time filling that up with some great free SEO software – such as Traffic Travis, Keyword Pad, CryoSubmitter, and many others.
The latest addition – and one that I really wanted to feature – is an extremely useful tool for any webmaster or web developer. I’m sure many of you are familiar with Lorem Ipsum text, the industry standard dummy text to use when designing a website layout. I even have a generator made specifically for this. However – what about adding some images? Some free, dummy images? This is exactly where LoremPixel comes into play.
LoremPixel does for images what lorem ipsum does for text throughout the online industry. You can source creative commons-licensed images using the tool on the home page generate the image you need, with the exact dimensions you require – and end up with a short and simple URL to link to, such as lorempixel.com/160/130/.
