Google’s +1 buttons have went public last night for all website owners. Those of you that have signed up to the mailing list in hopes of being notified when this goes live should have gotten an email yesterday with a link to follow to generate your own +1 button for your website. Unfortunately the link provided in the email did not work for a large portion of members. The fully functional link is located at: http://www.google.com/webmasters/+1/button/index.html
Haven’t heard of Google +1 yet? Well to quote Google “+1 is as simple on the rest of the web as it is on Google search. With a single click you can recommend that raincoat, news article or favorite sci-fi movie to friends, contacts and the rest of the world. The next time your connections search, they could see your +1’s directly in their search results, helping them find your recommendations when they’re most useful.”
