Back in April I had talked about the new Bing Knowledge Widget which allows any webmaster to bring the power of the Bing Knowledge repository directly to their website. Bing didn’t stop there however and late last month Bing integrated the Knowledge Widget directly into Bing Webmaster Tools letting you easily manage multiple Bing Knowledge Widgets and settings from within the familiar Bing Webmaster Tools experience. Furthermore when you customize your widget settings, instead of you having to update your pages with new embed code and republish every time you make a change, you can now manage and store your settings in the cloud.
Furthermore Bing added a fourth visualization option called Interactive only. This lets Bing identify and visualize entities only when a user selects text on the page (e.g. by highlighting it) and clicking the Bing logo.
This same functionality is automatically enabled in all other modes as-well. To learn more on how to get started, head on over to the Webmaster Help Center and read the Knowledge Widget help article. If you need some help getting started with Bing Webmaster Tools don’t hesitate to contact me.
