Much like Yahoo recently did; Bing is also taking a look back at 2014 with their own list of top searches for 2014. Unlike Yahoo however Bing isn’t providing a general list – instead they have created a wide array of different categories allowing you to see the top movie searches, top celebrity searches, and much more. This categorized breakdown does give us some pretty interesting facts however:

  • Fifty percent of the most searched apps for 2014 were social media apps. Not surprisingly, Facebook came in at number one.
  • The iPhone 6 was the most-searched-for device, with Xbox and Fitbit coming in second and third, respectively.
  • The Big Bang Theory was the most-searched TV show, followed by Dancing With the Stars.
  • Minecraft is the most searched Xbox game.
  • Sky Does Minecraft is the top Youtube sensation.

Luckily there is still a list of the top searched tech devices. Interestingly enough Playstation didn’t make it into the Bing top 10 list at all, while devices like Google Glass and Chromecast that didn’t make it onto the Yahoo list made it onto the Bing list.

  1. Apple iPhone 6
  2. Microsoft Xbox One
  3. Fitbit
  4. iPad
  5. Surface Pro 3
  6. Kindle Fire
  7. Windows Phone
  8. Galaxy S4
  9. Chromecast
  10. Google Glass
