Google has been fighting an ongoing battle against payday loans for many years now. In-fact they even have an algorithm dedicated to fighting payday loans. Unfortunately the algorithm has went a bit off-track recently, and it took merchant cash advances down with it. As you can see in the screenshot below, a search for merchant cash advance no-longer brings up any paid ads.

The big issue seems to focus around the term cash advance – seeing as how it can be utilized across the payday loans industry. Google hasn’t came out and specifically said anything about the matter yet – so it’s anyone’s guess as to whether Google will implement a fix or if the term merchant cash advance will forever be blocked for advertisers.
