Bing has announced today the decision to encrypt users searches by default over the course of this summer. Essentially for users that means that you get a more secure browsing experience, and your BING url will essentially be https://www.bing.com.

For webmasters this means that traffic will start originating from https://www.bing.com. Bing however promises to pass along a referrer string so that we can all tell what part of our traffic is coming from Bing. Unfortunately we webmasters will loose access to the users query terms. Some of it will remain available via Bing Webmaster Tools and the Search Query Terms report.

Those webmasters out there who maintain and focus on their Bing presence should definitely prepare for the switch, and familiarize themselves with the above mentioned tools before all of your traffic starts coming from an encrypted source and things get significantly harder to understand.
