As I went to try to login to a clients’ Host Gator account today I was hit with a Error 504 Timeout message. After a few quick checks it turned out all reseller accounts were experiencing the same issue. Luckily the HG team seems to have picked up on this pretty quickly.

As of 10:44AM EST things are still down. I’ll update this post once things are back online. For now there’s no WHM, cPanel, Web or FTP access.

Update 12:20PM EST: I’m getting periodic moments of uptime across a few reseller servers. WHM, cPanel, Web and FTP seem to be coming online.

Update 1:03PM EST: HostGator has announced that things should be back online for everyone:

At this time we have implemented the fix across all of the reseller servers. We do greatly appreciate your patience, and this issue is now resolved.

Please be aware that while a solution has been put in place for all affected servers, some users may still be experiencing MySQL errors intermittently. We’re aware of these troubles and are working to resolve these as quickly as possible. Thank you again for your patience as we get these remaining issues nailed down.
