Following a recent clean-up effort by Facebook the company has announced that they have identified and removed some 30,000 fake accounts from their networks. I’ve always said that buying fake likes and followers doesn’t really work – and this is the best proof of that. Facebook is constantly adapting their algorithms to enhance their ability to detect fake accounts – so unless you plan to constantly buy fake likes – it’s just not worth it.

In France, for example, these improvements have enabled us to take action against over 30,000 fake accounts. While these most recent improvements will not result in the removal of every fake account, we are dedicated to continually improving our effectiveness. Our priority, of course is to remove the accounts with the largest footprint, with a high amount of activity and a broad reach.

I just wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention as a reminder why buying fake likes & followers is never a good choice. So much more can be accomplished with the very same amount of money spent on buying fake likes. A few sponsored posts, maybe a local ad, and you can start to obtain real likes from real people who are close enough to be real customers.
