While going through my morning routine and checking on the pages I manage I noticed a new feature below one of my Facebook pages’ cover photos listing how fast my page had answered past messages. If you’re looking at this on your mobile device you’ll seeĀ a new drop down below your pages’ cover photo telling you what you’re current response time is, and how you can improve it.

Page admins using a PC or Mac will see the following:

It’s clear what Facebook is doing here – they want to push business owners and page admins to maintain frequent communication with their customers and fans via the Facebook social network. To be honest – it makes sense. Why not treat a question sent via Facebook in the same manner you would treat a question asked via the phone. Yes – I can see how this may be a bit of an inconvenience to the smaller businesses who do not have a dedicated marketing guru to be able to monitor and respond on their social channels – but luckily there’s companies like Media Explode (self-plug I know) who can handle this.

Have you earned a green badge yet? Do you even see this on your pages? Let me know in the comments below.
