Earlier on this month Microsoft rolled out their Windows 10 preview which included Project Spartan – Microsoft’s replacement for Internet Explorer in Windows 10. Project Spartan however was never intended to be the official name for the browser – and so today at the Build 2015 conference Microsoft announced the new, official, name for their next generation browser. Everyone please meet Microsoft Edge.

For those of you that played around with the Windows 10 preview build there’s not much new to add here for you. For those of you who would rather wait until the significantly less-buggy final version of Microsoft Edge comes out with Windows 10 watch the above video to get a peak at what the new browser will look and act like.

Oh, and not to forget, with the new browser comes a new logo also. This however is the least exciting news since the new logo looks pretty much like the old Internet Explorer logo.
