As I booted up my tablet this morning and browsed through the Google Play Store I noticed something pretty awesome. The download counter for Mozilla Firefox has surpassed 1.5 million downloads. Late last week Mozilla wrote on their blog that they have surpassed 100 million downloads – and it seems that number skyrocketed some-more over the weekend (with 1,688,753 downloads at the time of posting this).

In a day when most browsers are based on WebKit – it’s nice to have such support for an open-sourced browser doing their own thing. So congratulations Mozilla! Keep it up.
