In an announcement early this week Google has announced the death of Google+ Photos – pronounced on August 1st. As of that date Google+ Photos will be shut down however all the photos you have uploaded to Google+ Photos will still be accessible on Google Photos (http://photos.google.com). So technically there shouldn’t be any actual downtime for you.
