Remember when Facebook first introduced the new reaction emoji buttons to supplement the original ?? Turns out Facebook wants to use those reactions to gauge what topics should be displayed within your personal newsfeed. For example reacting with ??, ?, or ? emojis signifies that you feel strongly about a specific topic, more strongly than if you were to simply give it a like.

“Over the past year we’ve found that if people leave a reaction on a post, it is an even stronger signal that they’d want to see that type of post than if they left a Like on a post.”

As such it’s a safe bet that the more you hit ?? on your favorite type of post – the more of them you will see in your Facebook newsfeed. Subsequently if you don’t want Facebook to have much of any idea how you feel about things – stick to simply giving posts a ? or really kick things up by randomizing your reaction everytime thanks to this Google Chrome plugin.
